Graeme Donnachie is the ‘Kilted Artist’!
Born in Ayr in south west Scotland; the inspiration for my work originates back to great memories of years of cycling the Ayrshire country roads, exploring ever changing shorelines and climbing the Galloway and Arran hills. Further afield the Scottish landscape captures my imagination and fuels my passion for creating unique original statements of beauty.
All my paintings are 100% originals and my desire is to bring a fleeting glimpse of beauty or inspiration, permanently onto peoples walls and into their daily lives.
Under the moniker of the ‘Kilted Artist’, I’m often asked the big question, “Do I wear a kilt while painting?”…I’ll leave that to you and your imagination!

COMMISSIONS?
If you have something specific in mind that suits my style of painting, please get in touch and I can see what I can do. Previous commissions have included 50th birthday presents, honeymoon memories, special places visited, houses, places of marriage etc. I go all out with commissions, personalising the painting and ensuring it is unique and that little bit different and special.
CHARITY AUCTION – March 2017
My winning entry at the Pentland Hills Regional Park Inspirations 2016 competition is back from its travels around Lothian. Since I was fortunate to win this event I felt it only right that someone else should benefit from my success. So I auctioned off the original painting to the highest bidder and ALL money raised was donated to Tearfund, a charity working in the poorest areas of the world. I am please to say that a local collector placed the highest bid and I raised £120. Tearfund state that this will feed two children for a year in rural Chad. Great news and big thanks for all who showed interest!
WINNER!!!!! – PENTLANDS INSPIRATIONS COMPETITION Nov 2016
Kilted Artist was awarded the winning art entry in the Pentland Hills Regional Park Inspirations Competition 2016 for his “Lochs and Hills” painting. Soon to be touring the Lothian region until Spring 2017 at numerous locations.
